UNDER CONSTRUCTION SEA
Sannino’s constant research brings new life to his works in each of his collections.
The choice of aluminum used as a support allowed him to develop new solutions, offering a vision between informal and figurative.
Sannino recounts his perceptions as he observes the nature that surrounds him; in his “Shining Transparencies” is the light that captures his gaze, absorbs colors and shades, managing to give the observer a three-dimensional vision.
Thanks precisely to the color of the metal, the work emanates its own light, creating ever-changing effects from every point of observation.
The result is a vertical landscape, an explosion of colors expertly calibrated together, a sort of invention in the line and execution.
The landscape portrayed by the artist is never an end in itself, the mere representation of truth, but is a pretext to rewrite the rules and technique.
The Under Construction Sea collection was born from the desire to heal the sea from what has been done to it over the years, using geometry.
Sannino creates apparently circular shapes with his spatulas to restore the water’s lost balance; the figurations obtained intersect with each other, creating a new code for reading the seascape.
The right relationship between lines and transparencies of color gives life to a continuous game, a challenge with every stroke that excites him to the point of being ecstatic.
Sannino has today achieved a unique technique of its kind, enjoying considerable success in the world.
